StarCraft Battle.net Filter

May 6th, 2008 by dOoBiX

This is a pretty cool program that can sort StarCraft games when you are searching for one to play on Battle.net.
This program can sort the games by:

  • Lag bar
  • Map size
  • Number of players
  • Game speed
  • Map type
  • Game type
  • and more!

BWOblivionHunter v1.02

May 4th, 2008 by dOoBiX

Two weeks ago, there was an article written at teamliquid.net that talks about many StarCraft players and progamers who were caught map hacking. This is because when you click enemy units during a game, the action gets saved into replays. The map hack that the players used had disabled the enemy-selection action, so when you analyze a replay, it will show that they never clicked on enemy units. This is a flaw because in a game of over 15 minutes, there is a 99% chance of a good player clicking on an enemy unit. So by having multiple replays of a player without ever clicking on an enemies’ unit is good proof that they were map hacking. This technique of finding map hackers was discovered by flag from teamliquid.net. Instructions on how to use flag’s method is in the spoiler below.

A few days ago, GnarTheDwarf had released BWOblivionHunter. This program searches through your entire StarCraft replay folder for replays that are over 12 minutes long. After it is done searching, you will see a list of color-coded replays where there are possible hackers. Green means there’s not much chance of a hacker, yellow means there is a possibility of a hacker, and red means there definitely is a hacker. You can read the readme in the spoiler for more information and download the program below.

bwRepInfo v1.01a

May 4th, 2008 by dOoBiX

This StarCraft replay-analyzing program is an alternative to BWChart. It is supposed to offer more accurate APM (actions per minute) calculations by removing all the useless commands such as:
-Building units or upgrading with not enough resources
-Selection of units with no commands given
-Pressing the same hotkeys multiple times
-Putting hotkey on units but never using the hotkey
-Pressing an order multiple times (move, attack, stop, hold)

After eliminating these useless commands from the APM calculations, bwRepInfo will show the Effective APM, or EAPM, for each player.

RWAPlugins for BWL/Chaoslauncher

April 27th, 2008 by dOoBiX

Replay With Audio (RWA) was first created back in 2003 by JCA. It allowed you to watch a replay in StarCraft while at the same time listen to someone’s recorded commentary for it. 2005 was the last time RWA got an update… until today! tec27 from teamliquid.net has brought RWA back to life by releasing RWAPlugins for BWLauncher/Chaoslauncher. The RWAPlugins pack includes 2 plugins:

  • RWAPlayer v0.3
  • Allows you to play audio in replays modified with RWARecorder.

  • RWARecorder v0.2
  • Allows you to record and add audio commentary to replays.

Download RWAPlugins here:

Extern StarCraft Chat v2.61

April 24th, 2008 by dOoBiX

This program allows you to chat in the Battle.net channel while your StarCraft is minimized. It grabs all the text from the game, so it’s not really a bot and you don’t need another CD-key to use it. Read the spoiler below for the instructions.

LiteChat Alpha v0.1.52

April 23rd, 2008 by dOoBiX

This is a pretty good StarCraft bot for moderating channels. It can also go on Diablo 2, Warcraft 2, and Warcraft 3. One reason that this bot is good is because it has Warden support. This means that it won’t get disconnected from Battle.net’s new security system, whereas other bots will disconnect within 2 minutes. When you’re setting this bot up, enter this for the BNLS address: logon.berzerkerjbls.com. If the BNLS address doesn’t work, click here to see other BNLS addresses to use. For more information and commands, check the spoiler below for the readme.
