August 19th, 2008 by dOoBiX

Here’s version 2.0d of Jailout2000’s BNGE! New features include Warcraft 3 support, a preview window for servers in StarCraft, and some other stuff you can read in the spoiler. This program also has the same features from the previous version: allows you to add/edit/remove Battle.net servers for StarCraft/Warcraft 2/Diablo 2, put color and formatting to the server names, and restore the original Battle.net gateways if your server list get messed up somehow.

  1. The organization of the program is nice. However, this program is not working for Diablo 2. I decided to try to set up a Diablo 2 server as an experiment. The installation completed successfully. Installed on another computer to link to the server for testing. For the past 3 days, I have been doing an Install, Crash, Uninstall, repeat cycle - trying to find what was causing the problem. It turned out to be this program. Whatever it does, there’s something wrong. It you are receiving an error on line #94 and having some issue with the fog.dll (as indicated in the log file in your Diablo 2 directory), this program causes the same problem.

    Halt
    Location : , line #94
Expression : Unrecoverable internal error 6ff2f6b9

If you create a different account on your machine, you will be able to play using that account since the servers will be defaults there. I have yet to figure out how to actually fix the main account though. It is my assumption that an editor that works properly might be able to reset the servers to default values and eliminate the problem. No confirmation of this as of yet. Sorry, Jailout, but this editor isn’t ready for distribution yet.

  2. Thank you very much for this great tool.
