You can use this program to change your StarCraft CD-Key without reinstalling.

To change your StarCraft CD key, please close StarCraft and follow these steps:
1. Open the zip file and run SCKeyChanger.exe.
2. Click “Change CD-Key”.
3. Enter your Name and the new CD-key that you wish to use, and click OK.
4. Select the folder where StarCraft is installed on your computer, which most likely would be “C:\Program Files\Starcraft”, and click OK.
5. Done.

    The key encryption/decryption algorithm was never hacked. This is why keygrabber programs require you to log on to battle.net so that the game can decrypt the key and the grabber can read it from memory. Also the CD key changer, which encrypts a given key into the /font folder in StarDat.mpq is actually a modified version of the StarCraft installer(notice the graphics and exact same text in the CD key window) which was made to only execute the CD key injection routine into the mpq. But again the actual algorithm was never hacked out of the installer.

    Anyone wishing for a 26 character key changer will have to hack the new 26 key Installer provided with the digital copies of SC/Battle Chest and make it so the .exe only executes the parts where it asks for the key and encodes it into the mpq, then exits. This is not the first time it is done. Warcraft 3 and TFT key changers, which do the exact same thing but encode the key in a different mpq, are also modified installers.

    I had downloaded a Full StarCraft & Brood War version for my Windows, but somehow i could just play Single player mode.

    I changed the CD-Key with UR program to see if that could fix the problem to play in Multiplayer mode (BattleNet) and now I CANT FKN PLAY EVEN SINGLE MODE.

    So.. DUDE WTF?!

    Upload a cursor/arrow.grp too man !!

    I use the generator on this site, but still doesn’t work.

    Is it true this program doesn’t work for the v1.16.1 patch? I’ve gone through about 20 keys so far, still no luck, Im almost thinking the rumor is true and that Ill have to reinstall with the earlier patch, and run the game off of a mounted cd image since I dont have the disks
